It’s three weeks after I wrote my first blog; I had lunch with my marketing guy, Greg, and of course he is on my case to get going on this. It feels like a New Year’s resolution…easy to make and hard to keep. So I went out for a walk this evening, which is hardly ever difficult for me to do, and thought, “what inspires me for my business”? I love to walk around my neighborhood looking in art galleries’ windows, or interesting storefronts & restaurants. On Sunday I was out walking with my friend Kaaren and we stopped into a coffee shop in Yorkville. As we walked back to her car we noticed this window of a restaurant. Almost simultaneously we said, “now that is something that we could use in the future at an event”. I loved how such a simple idea made the window so interesting. Since then I keep thinking about how I could use this concept …maybe not as a window treatment but with linens on tables…I’ll keep you posted.
